I was browsing through an upcoming project from one of the biggest churches in KL and stumbled upon this quote given by a supposedly, evangelical person (on the project).
“If we build God’s House, He will build our house.”
Which part of this reflects the spirit of evangelicalism? In fact, what the quote shows, is a total disregard of David’s lesson that was given by God, when he proclaimed that he wanted to build a house for God.
Alas, many only are content in believing a Christianity that is all pomp and show. They believe that world dominance in society, culture and politics is vital to usher in the “millenium” of Christ, which they believe is all physical. Alas, alas, Jesus rightly tells us that the coming kingdom (ONE second coming, not two second comings) will never be a physical reign for:
John 18:36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”
